Rihanna launches her autobiography: 500 pages, a thousand photos and seven kilos

Your editorial considers it one of the great releases of the season and it's not for nothing because big, clearly, it is. Rihanna releases her autobiography this October, which she has simply titled with her name. But it's the only thing that has the volume simple. Edited by Phaidon, the book will consist of 1,050 photos spread over 504 pages and will weigh no less than 6.8 kilos.

On Tuesday Phaidon announced her novelty by unveiling that she will deal with the singer's life "through an incredible visual narrative". "From her childhood in Barbados to the pivotal moments of her fashion career, as well as private moments with friends and family, the book will collect intimate photographs of her life as music, singer, designer and entrepreneur," she says from the publisher about her new star.

"I'm so excited to share this collection of amazing images. I am very grateful for all the talented artists and photographers who have contributed to it," explains the artist, 31, in the note disseminated by Phaidon, ensuring that she has been working on this project for no less than five years and that she is happy to , at last, share it with the world. In addition to the images, the volume will include 11 special boxes, seven drop-down sheets and a poster that can be removed from it.

This autobiography will be available in stores from October 24 for a price of 140 euros, and will be accompanied by a briefcase to be transported, due to its size. In addition, there will be three special editions that can only be purchased on a website created specifically for the book. The simplest of these versions will cost 165 euros; the second, which will include a gold lectern, will be priced at 5,020 euros (and is not available at the moment); while the most luxurious will consist of only 10 copies, it will be numbered and signed by the artist and will include a Portuguese marble pedestal. Its price is 101,000 euros and it is already sold out.

Rihanna's career has been at least unusual in the music industry. This year it appears on the list Forbes as"the richest musical artist in the world", thanks to amassing a fortune of 600 million dollars (more than 532 million euros). He has overtaken Beyoncé, Céline Dion or Madonna, but, oddly enough, he hasn't released a record since 2016.

The point is that Barbados is focused on its business in the fashion world. She achieved great success thanks to her makeup line, Fenty Beauty, which she launched a couple of years ago and was intended for all skin tones. A success that he managed to repeat soon after thanks to Savage X Fenty, his lingerie brand, with more than 90 types of underwear pieces in different colors that replicate the different skins. A firm that has managed to stand up to victoria's Secret and has aired its first major parade, held in September, on Amazon Prime Video. In addition, in May she became one of the first black women in the luxury industry by closing the launch of her fashion brand, also called Fenty, with the conglomerate LVMH.
