When Samsung first introduced its Galaxy Note back in 2011, the smartphone had two traits that set it apart from everyone else on the market: a very large screen for what was worn at the time and the presence of a stylus (the S Pen) to interact with it. The first feature was long overreleased with the usual trend of mobile phones with huge viewing surfaces. But the second, that of the stylus, has become his unmistakable hallmark,
Notes, drawings, gestures...
Like its previous version, the Note10 Plus hides the stylus in its lower frame. It is extracted by gently pressing it and automatically turns on the screen to take quick notes. When the phone is unlocked, the possibilities increase: we find a small icon with the illustration of a pencil that can be placed wherever we want and that gives access to a menu — in which you can only scroll with the S Pen — that brings together all the applications that you want use this component. There are options to take notes, make screenshots and write about them, create animated messages, translate contents... and even digitize handwritten texts,
In general, the sensitivity and precision of this accessory are suitable, making the task of writing and drawing very comfortable. Its range, close to 8 hours, also ensures that it is always available when needed. Once saved on your site, it reloads in minutes.
It's not the only use Samsung has given to its S Pen. Now it incorporates accelerometer and gyroscope that help you know how to hold and what movements are made with it. And transform this information into gestures to control different apps and functions: take a photo or record video, switch between cameras and modes, zoom; explore the gallery and access the details of each capture; controlling music playback...
Samsung teaches you how to use this type of interaction by showing an illustration with instructions every time you open a compatible app and the stylus is activated, but the reality is that it is necessary quite practical to do it with ease. And, at the hour of truth, we have found ourselves turning to him on rare occasions; more to prove it than for its real utility,
It is a high-end phone – it costs 1,109 euros – that has everything that can be asked of this type of devices and in which stands out, above all else, the screen: it is one of the best we have seen.
6.8 inch, it has QHD+ resolution (by default it displays contents in Full HD+ to save battery), HDR10+ certification and a Dynamic AMOLED panel that reproduces very intense colors, always maintaining the sharpness and an adequate brightness level, even if automatic management is sometimes a little slow. It is also interesting that you can make some adjustments, among which we highlight an ideal blue light filter in situations with low lighting in the environment.

A small hole dedicated to the front camera is located at the top to avoid notch. Also hidden under it, in the lower area, is an ultrasonic fingerprint reader that has become our favorite method for unlocking the terminal (facial recognition is very basic) and has proven to be a fast and effective security system.
With a design that attracts all eyes and also all footprints (we tested the Aura Glow finish, which reflects light in different colors), it is comfortable to use despite its large size. It has some aspects to improve. For example, during testing we noticed that it was rapidly increasing in temperature. In addition, the cameras show little innovation with respect to their predecessors, especially in terms of photography.
So, this model has a very similar configuration to the Galaxy S10+ that we had the opportunity to try a few months ago, with an ultra wide angle lens, another wide angle and a telephoto. To them, however, it adds a ToF camera: a technology that is very similar to that of the sastation and radars that serves to calculate the depth and distance at which a subject or object is located. It allows, for example, to improve the photos with the blurred background and transfer this effect to the video, although it must be said that the result is not as successful as you would expect,
And, however, it is one of the smartphones that offers the best results during the recording of videos, both in terms of resolution, color capture and sharpness, and image stabilization: it has a system that allows to reduce significantly vibration in moving scenes. To that it is added that they can be edited from the terminal, and with the stylus it is much easier. In photography, on the other hand, we repeat sensations with the S10+: the results with great in practically all assumptions (detail is lost when the light drops), but it lacks a plus to join the fight to become the best mobile camera.
A last detail worth stopping in: it is compatible with 45W chargers; a feature that has still been seen very little. This accessory, sold separately and we haven't been able to test, would be able to charge the phone in just 30 minutes, according to the firm. In the box comes a 25 W with which we manage to do it in just over an hour. And then, the autonomy lasts until the day is over,
